So tonight Ben and I took some time to sit in the future ‘nursery’ and pray for Baby G, the birthparents, and for our little family as we start to grow. It was a beautiful time to be still in the presence of God and feel his peace and joy with what the future holds for us. It is our desire that we enjoy every moment of the process, not just hurry through it or wish it away. Every day that we wait is a day that God is preparing us for our little one and baby G for us.

As I was leaving my faculty meeting today, I was a bit frustrated by work (as I sometimes am). On the way to my car I noticed one of the signs in the car pickup line that says, “Keep Moving Forward.” How easy it is for me to get stuck in the past, the way way ahead future, and the circumstances around me. It was in that moment that I felt God whisper to me that its ok to keep moving forward. It doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the ride as go or even take the journey slowly, but moving toward the purpose and promise God has for me is necessary for me to survive.

I pray that God will help you to “Keep Moving Forward” as well.
